All Saints Community Church Burren Junction

All Saints Community Church Burren Junction

Our Mission

Who are we and what are we doing with the old church? Bloody great question!

Our local Anglican Church is almost 100 years old. It was originally donated to the community and cared for by generations of locals.

Now it’s our turn.

A group of local community members have come together to make sure this beautiful building remains here for generations to come… and we’re opening it to everybody!

We’re raising funds to preserve, restore and maintain the church so it can continue to be a welcoming place for the whole community. A place to gather, celebrate, reflect and connect, whether for worship, community events or life’s milestones.

We believe this building has a future, and we want that future to be one that belongs to all.

Celebrating 68 years of love

Celebrating 68 years of love

The Narrabri Courier - 16 September 2026

Charles and Annette Radford recently celebrated 68 wonderful years of marriage.

The Narrabri couple, formerly of Burren Junction, are popular community members.

They enjoyed the special milestone, receiving a beautiful, big bunch of flowers from family and phone calls from relatives and friends who are scattered across the country.

There was also a lovely celebration at Whiddon’s Jessie Hunt residence, with flowers and, of course, a delicious cake.

When asked the secret to their long and happy life together, Mr and Mrs Radford shared a simple yet meaningful answer: love and respect for each other.

What Small Business Owners Should Know About Hydro Excavation Before Starting a Site Project

Hydro excavation offers peace of mind to small business owners planning safe, clean, and controlled digging projects.

Hydro excavation is an increasingly popular alternative to traditional digging methods for small businesses undertaking site projects. By using pressurised water and vacuum technology, this non-destructive method exposes underground assets safely, avoiding damage to cables, pipes, and essential infrastructure. Whether installing signage, upgrading plumbing, or modifying outdoor areas, hydro excavation offers greater control, less mess, and fewer legal risks. Business owners benefit from faster project timelines, fewer insurance issues, and peace of mind—especially when working on older premises or congested sites. Learn more about how non-destructive digging with hydro excavation may reduce costs and protect your property.

Fuel Subsidies for Community Services

Fuel Subsidies for Community Services

5 May, 2026

Member for Barwon, Roy Butler, has warned that the ongoing fuel crisis could severely compromise access to essential health and community services in rural and remote communities unless a temporary fuel subsidy is introduced.

Mr Butler’s office has been contacted by numerous organisations that provide transport for rural and remote patients to attend health and specialist appointments, as well as organisations delivering health services directly into people’s homes.

“These services are a lifeline for people who have no other means of transport,” Mr Butler said. “Any disruption caused by increased fuel prices would have serious consequences for health and wellbeing outcomes in our communities.”

Fuel Crisis Prompts Tourism Concerns

Fuel Crisis Prompts Tourism Concerns

5 May 2026

Rising concern about the impact of the fuel crisis on local tourism has prompted the Member for Barwon, Roy Butler, to urge city residents to continue with their plans to visit regional NSW over the Easter holiday.

Local tourism operators are reporting a bump in Easter cancellations against a backdrop of lower overall bookings in March this year compared to the same time last year.

“It’s a tough time for many people who work in tourism,” said Mr Butler.

“Caravan parks in Broken Hill are reporting a drop in revenue of more than 25%, with management and staff discussing reduced hours.

“Fewer shifts are available for motel workers around Narrabri too.
