Fuel Chaos Grips the Nation

Fuel Chaos Grips the Nation

12 March 2026 - Author Stephen Gardiner

A wave of mild hysteria swept across the region this week as towns up and down the highway reported dwindling fuel supplies. Drivers were spotted forming queues longer than a Centrelink phone wait, clutching jerry cans like they were rare artefacts from a bygone civilisation. Rumours spread faster than a harvest fire: “No fuel by lunchtime!”, “Servo’s dry!”, “Someone filled a Hilux AND a boat—selfish bugger!”

Local councils issued calm, measured statements encouraging residents to “avoid panic buying,” which of course triggered even more panic buying. One town reportedly saw a man attempt to siphon petrol from his own lawnmower “just in case.”

But in the midst of the chaos, one community remained perfectly, serenely unfazed.

Burren Junction.

While the rest of the region scrambled, Burren locals simply shrugged, sipped their coffees, and carried on with their day. When asked how they were staying so calm during the crisis, one resident replied:

“Mate… Burren Junction ran out of petrol 15 years ago.”

Kamilaroi Highway set for major rehabilitation to boost safety and resilience

Published: 3 March 2026 Released by: Minister for Roads

A vital stretch of the Kamilaroi Highway west of Burren Junction is set for significant rehabilitation, with the Minns Labor Government delivering long-term improvements to one of north-west NSW’s most important road corridors. From Tuesday, 3 March, work will begin on a full rehabilitation of a three-kilometre section between Walgett and Cryon, near the Goangra–Beanbri intersection, where the pavement has continued to deteriorate despite routine and heavy patching. Rather than temporary fixes, crews will carry out a full pavement rehabilitation to rebuild and restore the road surface, improving ride quality and strengthening the highway for the long term.

Unlocking Wellness Through Kinesiology: Exploring the Growing Popularity of Kinesiology in Melbourne

How Muscle Testing and Energy Balancing Are Supporting Holistic Health in Melbourne’s Wellness Community

Kinesiology, a holistic therapy focusing on the body's movement and energy systems, has gained significant attention in Melbourne for its potential to enhance physical and emotional well-being. By employing muscle monitoring techniques, kinesiology aims to identify and address imbalances that may contribute to various health concerns.

Understanding Kinesiology

The term 'kinesiology' originates from the Greek words kinesis (movement) and logia (study). In the Australian context, kinesiology is a complementary therapy that uses muscle testing to detect and correct imbalances within the body. Practitioners believe that these imbalances may affect physical health, emotional stability, and overall vitality. It's important to note that kinesiology does not diagnose diseases but seeks to support the body's natural healing processes.

The Role of a Kinesiology Practitioner in Melbourne

A Kinesiology Practitioner in Melbourne works with clients to uncover stressors affecting their well-being. Through gentle muscle testing, they assess the body's responses to various stimuli, identifying areas of stress or imbalance. Techniques such as acupressure, nutritional advice, and emotional support may be employed to restore balance. The goal is to enhance the individual's innate healing abilities and promote a state of equilibrium.

Benefits of Kinesiology

Individuals seek kinesiology for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Stress Reduction: By identifying stress triggers, kinesiology may assist individuals in managing and reducing stress levels.

  • Improved Physical Performance: Athletes and those engaged in physical activities may find kinesiology beneficial in enhancing movement efficiency and preventing injuries.

  • Emotional Clarity: Addressing emotional blockages can lead to improved mental health and clearer decision-making.

  • Overall Well-being: By promoting balance within the body's systems, kinesiology aims to support general health and vitality.

Training and Accreditation

In Melbourne, aspiring kinesiology practitioners typically undergo comprehensive training to ensure they provide safe and effective care. These programs generally cover various aspects of the practice, including muscle testing techniques, anatomy, and client communication skills. Graduates are equipped to address a wide range of client needs, fostering a holistic approach to health.

Choosing a Melbourne Kinesiology Therapist

When selecting a Melbourne Kinesiology Therapist, consider the following:

  • Qualifications: Ensure the therapist has completed accredited training and holds relevant certifications.

  • Experience: Look for a practitioner with experience addressing concerns similar to yours.\

  • Approach: Discuss their therapeutic approach to determine if it aligns with your health philosophy and goals.

  • Professional Memberships: Membership in professional bodies indicates a commitment to ongoing education and adherence to ethical standards.

How Sessions Typically Work

Each kinesiology session is uniquely tailored to the client’s needs. A typical session may involve a consultation where the practitioner explores the client’s concerns. This is followed by muscle monitoring (often through the arms or legs), which helps detect energetic imbalances. From there, the practitioner may apply different balancing techniques, such as:

  • Gentle bodywork or acupressure

  • Visualisation and affirmations

  • Nutritional support

  • Movement re-education

Conditions That May Benefit from Kinesiology

Kinesiology may support a wide range of health and wellness challenges. While individual results vary, clients often report positive changes in areas such as:

  • Chronic stress and fatigue

  • Sleep disturbances

  • Anxiety and mood imbalances

  • Learning difficulties

  • Digestive discomfort

  • Hormonal imbalances

  • Postural or movement issues

It is essential to understand that kinesiology is a complementary therapy and is not a replacement for medical treatment. Clients are encouraged to work alongside their GP or health professional when managing complex or ongoing health conditions.

Integrating Kinesiology into Your Wellness Plan

Integrating kinesiology into your overall health routine may complement existing treatments and support long-term well-being. Many people report that kinesiology works best when used alongside other lifestyle adjustments, including regular movement, healthy eating, and mindfulness practices.

If you're unsure where to start, it may be helpful to read informative resources and community news updates from trusted publications like Namoi News, which often features health and wellness content relevant to your local area.

A Holistic Approach to Well-being

Kinesiology’s strength lies in its holistic approach—recognising the connection between the body, mind, and energy systems. It encourages self-awareness and empowers individuals to take an active role in their healing journey.

By consulting a qualified practitioner, such as one offering services under Restored Balance Kinesiology Melbourne, individuals may experience shifts in how they relate to their health, emotions, and everyday stressors.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Kinesiology in Melbourne

As the interest in integrative and complementary therapies continues to rise, kinesiology is becoming more mainstream in wellness circles across Melbourne. People are increasingly open to combining traditional health care with holistic approaches to improve their overall quality of life.

This growing recognition reflects a broader shift toward proactive, personalised health care. As awareness spreads, kinesiology may continue to evolve and find new applications in both clinical and community settings.
